ABOUT

Pictures speak a thousand words, so the best overview of my experience and the quality of work I have been involved with will be shown through the projects themselves. Below you will find few more words to present you with a larger picture to whom I am and my outlook on architecture.

View on Architecture

There are many things I love about architecture, but its vastness and the way it can involuntarily shape our lives is what fascinates me the most. Our daily actions and routines are often led by our environment, just famously highlighted by Winston Churchill: “We shape our buildings and afterwards our buildings shape us.”. It is understanding of the latter though, that allows us to design truly great and socially significant architecture. With that in mind, I am always trying to push my knowledge into the broader fields linked to architecture such as urban design or psychology.

Education

My architectural education started already in high school where I have undertaken architectural drawing and design classes (https://labirynt.pl/galeria.html). Following two years of this course, I have undertaken Architectural Studies at the University of Strathclyde, where I graduated with a Masters's degree.

My relentless thirst for knowledge never stopped though and since leaving university I have found a profound interest in socially aware mix-use urbanism, on which I have read numerous books, and watched countless videos/documentaries. I have also continued my development of in-depth computer-related skills through various courses. This includes the development of advanced Autocad, Revit and Photoshop skills. Recently I have also started familiarising myself with Dynamo for Revit and learning Python coding.

Professional Expertise

Working in an office that grew from a small to a medium-size practice I had a chance to work on a long list of projects from small extensions up to multi-million-pound developments. The majority of my projects have focused on the Residential sector, but I have also had some experience in commercial sectors, including Education and Industrial, as well as offices.
